About the role

Mater Mothers Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Midwives to join the team in our Birth Suites and Pregnancy Assessment Centre. There are multiple opportunities available, both permanent and fixed term at either a part-time or full-time capacity.

At Mater Mothers' Hospital we are leaders in the provision of high-quality maternity and newborn services for the people of Queensland and northern New South Wales. Providing exceptional care and support of women and their families.

The Pregnancy Assessment Unit, managed by Mater Midwives, arranges care in the same way as hospital emergency departments, by using a triage process to prioritise women according to their individual situation.

You will be providing exceptional care to both public and privately funded women ranging from the care of normal, low risk women through to complex obstetric and medical care requiring an extensive multidisciplinary approach.

About you

This role requires an enthusiastic and dedicated Midwife to provide exceptional midwifery care and is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a highly skilled and professional multi-disciplinary team, utilising your enthusiasm and midwifery passion for the delivery of best practice within a supportive and professional environment.

The successful candidate will have:

* Current registration with AHPRA (no restrictions)
* At least two years post graduate experience for Registered Midwives, preferably within a birthing services environment
* Demonstrated high levels of communication (both written and verbal) and clinical problem-solving skills
* Evidence of continuing educational and professional development, preferably post graduate qualifications
* Commitment to the continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice

The ideal applicant will possess an enthusiastic and mature attitude, have excellent communication skills and will also demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment.
