Base salary: $101K to $123K (pro-rata) plus 15.4% ABC nominated super
Overview
The ABC is looking for a Reporter to contribute to the national agenda on 7.30 by breaking important stories in original and visually striking ways.
Responsibilities
* Research, write, and present accurate, timely, and innovative news content.
* Source material and conduct interviews to support quality reporting.
* Create cross‐platform content using various production tools.
* Stay informed on national issues and current events.
* Build and maintain strong contacts across institutions and communities.
* Deliver original, visually engaging stories that reflect Australia's diversity.
Requirements
* Creative content production with strong live/broadcast experience.
* Advanced editorial judgement and research skills.
* Understanding of local audience issues.
* Strong planning and ability to meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication and relationship‐building skills.
* Knowledge of ABC editorial policies and style.
* Passion for diverse, authentic storytelling.
* Ability to build and maintain community contacts.
