The Australian Government's infrastructure financing facility in the Pacific is seeking a seasoned investment leader to oversee a diverse portfolio of investments and provide strategic guidance on sectoral development.
This role will be responsible for structuring and negotiating loan and grant packages for high-value infrastructure projects across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will possess exceptional project management skills, with experience in transport infrastructure and program management in the Pacific.
Key responsibilities include:
* Designing, negotiating, and approving loan and grant packages for quality infrastructure projects.
* Overseeing financial, commercial, social, and environmental assessments to ensure responsible lending.
* Conducting comprehensive due diligence on counter-party contracts and building partner capacity in these processes.
* Directing large multifaceted programs, budgets, and teams, ensuring gender, social inclusion, local content, and safeguard targets are met.
* Advising on procurement processes and leading the identification, analysis, and mitigation of investment risks.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A degree qualification in Engineering, Construction, Finance, or Project Management.
* Proven expertise in infrastructure project implementation and program management, preferably in the Pacific.
* Exceptional people management and leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and developing staff.
* The ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships remotely and deliver results.
