Overview
We are partnering with a growing base metals mining operation in NSW seeking an Underground Production Engineer to support safe and efficient underground production. This is a permanent opportunity to join a technically strong site team delivering high-grade base metals from a well-established mining region.
In this role, you will work closely with the underground mining team to optimise production activities, coordinate short-term planning, and ensure development and stoping activities are executed safely and efficiently. You will contribute to daily and weekly production planning while monitoring performance against targets.
The position operates on an 8/6 FIFO roster from the east coast. A charter flight departs Brisbane on Thursday mornings, with commercial flight options available from Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain short-term underground production plans
* Monitor production performance and identify improvement opportunities
* Coordinate with underground supervisors and technical teams
* Support drill and blast planning and production scheduling
* Track development and stoping progress against targets
* Ensure activities align with safety and operational standards
About you
* Proven background in underground hard rock mining operations
* Experience supporting underground production or mine planning
* Strong capability using mine planning software and reporting tools
* Effective communicator able to collaborate with site teams
* Commitment to safe and efficient mining practices
