We're looking for a Business Development Manager to join a leading logistics and supply chain organisation, based in the Scenic Rim. This is a full‐time role offering an attractive annual salary, 2 days in the office, and 3 days on the road, with a laptop and mobile provided.
About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and securing new business opportunities across Queensland. Your focus will be on developing strong client relationships, promoting a full suite of logistics solutions, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored services. You will maintain a high‐quality pipeline of opportunities while driving revenue growth and expanding the customer base.
What You'll Do
* Identify and build relationships with key decision‐makers, industry leaders, and prospective clients.
* Understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions to meet operational and commercial requirements.
* Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
* Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and new business opportunities.
* Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company objectives.
* Drive sales by preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing new business.
* Maintain reporting on sales activity, pipeline progress, and market trends.
What We're Looking For
* Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field; Sales/Marketing qualifications highly regarded.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably in logistics or transport.
* Proven track record in outside sales with the ability to meet and exceed targets.
* Strong networking, negotiation, and relationship‐building skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional approach.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, managing competing priorities.
* Willingness to travel within the region as required.
