Overview
Senior Trust Accountant to join The GPT Group in the Group Finance (Funds) team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, Funds, you will play a key role in managing the financial reporting of our Funds, including preparing financial statements, unit pricing, tax reporting and managing complex treasury accounting matters.
What you will be doing
* Assisting with preparation of annual and half-yearly financial statements and disclosures
* Reviewing quarterly taxable income statements and annual tax returns
* Preparing quarterly distribution calculations
* Drafting accounting treatment memos and liaising with external auditors
* Producing periodic debt covenant compliance certificates
* Managing hedge accounting relationships, including effectiveness testing
* Overseeing internal controls around treasury, including debt drawdowns, rate sets and confirmations
* Supporting special projects and ad hoc reporting
What makes you stand out
We are seeking a CA or CPA qualified professional with relevant experience in professional services, treasury, financial services or real estate funds management. You should have a strong knowledge of IFRS, particularly related to treasury, and ideally experience in accounting for treasury instruments such as borrowings, derivatives and foreign exchange.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, while familiarity with SAP, HFM or treasury management systems such as GTreasury will be highly regarded.
Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage a range of stakeholders with professionalism and confidence. You will be highly motivated, organised and proactive, with the ability to balance technical precision with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
