About The Role
This is a rare opportunity to design, build and own the Procurement Excellence function within a large, complex organisation undergoing significant transformation.
As Head of Procurement Excellence, you will sit at the heart of the procurement transformation agenda, leading the uplift of capability, governance, technology and data across the full end‑to‑end procurement lifecycle. This is a newly established function, giving you true ownership and influence to shape how procurement operates now and into the future.
You will be accountable for three critical pillars; Continuous Improvement and Capability, Technology and Analytics, and Governance and Risk, ensuring procurement processes, systems and insights are fit‑for‑purpose, scalable and value‑driven.
Working closely with the Chief Procurement Officer, Procurement Leadership Team and senior stakeholders across the business, you will drive simplification, automation and standardisation, embedding leading practice and positioning procurement as a trusted strategic partner. This role is ideal for a transformation‑minded leader who thrives on building foundations, enabling change and delivering long‑term enterprise value.
About You
You are a strategic procurement leader with a proven track record of leading procurement transformation, capability uplift and operational excellence in large, complex environments.
You bring deep expertise across end‑to‑end procurement processes, governance and compliance, and the practical application of procurement systems and analytics. You are equally comfortable setting strategic direction as you are rolling up your sleeves to drive adoption, embed change and build credibility with stakeholders.
You are known for your pragmatic, progressive leadership style, your ability to influence across organisational boundaries, and your passion for developing high‑performing, future‑ready teams. Most importantly, you are motivated by the opportunity to create something meaningful — to define standards, shape ways of working and leave a lasting imprint on a procurement function in transformation.
