About The Role
Start your journey with the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa as a Demi Chef to help our passionate kitchen team to create mouth-watering food for our guests. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, you will form a key part of a team who are responsible for providing high quality product to our luxury guests.
Critical responsibilities:
Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food before use. Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items in a timely manner Test foods to ensure proper preparation and temperature Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly Ensure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers Delegate tasks within department and run shift
Successful Candidates will have:
Experience gained from working in a similar role preferably 4-5 star Hotel kitchen Trade qualification Strong food safety knowledge Great communication skills Ability to work in a team and autonomously Passion for food and aspirations to grow your culinary career
