The role
We are on the lookout for an experienced Business Development Manager with strong HR & Payroll domain expertise to support the growth and adoption of an enterprise SaaS platform. This is a consultative, solution-focused role working closely with Product, Engineering, and customer-facing teams to design and position HR & Payroll solutions for complex enterprise environments.
You'll act as a trusted domain expert, engaging with customers to understand requirements, shape solutions, and ensure alignment between product capability, platform architecture, and business outcomes.
Main Responsibilities:
Act as the HR & Payroll SME for internal teams and enterprise customers
Lead customer discovery to translate business, regulatory, and operational needs into scalable solutions
Design and advise on HR & Payroll solution configuration and integration within enterprise platforms
Partner with Product and Engineering to influence product direction and roadmap decisions
Support demos, proof-of-concepts, and business cases with a focus on technical fit and value
Provide insight into market trends, competitor offerings, and enterprise architectures
Engage with new and existing customers in a consultative, solution-led capacity
Key Skills Required:
Experience working with enterprise HR and/or Payroll SaaS solutions
Strong understanding of HR/Payroll systems, data flows, and enterprise environments
Pre-sales, solution advisory, or technically led business development experience
Ability to translate complex requirements into product-aligned solutions
Experience influencing product or solution strategy through customer insight
Comfortable operating in complex, matrixed organisations
Experience in regulated environments is an asset
