The Role
We are seeking an experienced technician to join our Mount Isa team in a Field Service Technician position based out of our growing Mount Isa branch.
The role will be responsible for ensuring efficient maintenance of our client's fleet of Sandvik Mining equipment working on-site and in the workshop.
As a Field Service Technician you will perform inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs of a range of specialist mining equipment within the Sandvik product range.
Key Responsibilities
* Follow and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
* Carry out general mechanical duties, maintenance, repairs and fault diagnostics work on all Sandvik Mining equipment
* Performing mechanical maintenance duties as per maintenance plans while upholding the integrity of the equipment and ensuring safe operation is not compromised
* Providing feedback for efficient maintenance planning improvements
* Record keeping of parts usage, equipment monitoring and time records
* Support technicians from other regions and assist in training
* Work effectively either in a team environment or autonomously
* Assist with machine audits/inspections
Requirements
* Preferred Mount Isa local or willing to relocate to Mount Isa with FIFO opportunities for the right candidate
* Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certification is required
* Demonstrated previous experience with Sandvik Underground mining equipment would be a distinct advantage
* Strong and proven safety culture
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong customer service focus and motivation and determination to achieve targets and goals
* Basic computer literacy
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Class C Manual Driver's License is required
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical reference checks police checks and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing
