**About our Community Mental Health Service at Aged Persons Mental Health**
The Aged Persons Assessment and Treatment (APAT) Team provides community treatment to clients who are over 65 years old and who have a mental illness and who live in the Middle South catchment area. The aim of the APAT Team is to provide treatment to clients in their own environment as far as clinically possible for a time limited period and to connect clients into relevant community services including primary care. APAT Team play a pivotal role in preventing relapse and admissions whilst providing treatment in the least restrictive manner. APAT works as part of the wider APMHS Community Team. The APAT Clinician provides a range of clinical mental health services including covering triage when requested, conduct intake, mental state examinations, risk assessments, care planning, treatment, case management and discharge planning.
**About The Role**
As a Mental Health Clinicians you will work collaboratively with other clinicians to ensure high quality of care is provided to consumers in the service area. We will look to you to provide comprehensive mental health assessments and demonstrate competence in managing complex, mental health issues whilst adjusting to changing priorities. This role covers positions within our excellent team whilst those individuals cover other positions within the program. As such this role provides an excellent opportunity for aspiring clinicians to explore community mental health or as an opportunity to try Aged Persons Mental Health.

**What You Need**:
- Relevant Qualification (aligned to position description)
- Demonstrated experience (aligned to position description noting no reference to years of experience)
- Current AHPRA registration or AASW membership
- Include any other mandatory/required skills or licenses
- Willingness to take on a portfolio(s) contributing to ward quality improvements & National Standards
