Venture Smart, a joint venture between Ventia and Johnson Controls, provides ongoing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) maintenance services & electrical capital works state-wide for Main Roads WA. As a Civil Worker, you will play a pivotal role in delivering signalised intersection upgrades, electrical asset rehabilitation, and a diverse range of other Civils related projects.
In a ground-breaking initiative (pun intended), we are seeking experienced industry professionals to undertake the new Civil Construction Trades apprenticeship.

**Wages for Certificate III in Civil Construction (General Stream) Apprentice at an Experienced Civil Worker Rate**:
- Note: VentureSmart and Skill Hire have agreed to pay the Civil (C1) Rate to experienced Civil workers prepared to undergo the trade training and complete their certificate III.
- Ordinary: $31.68
- Overtime (1.5x): $47.52
- Overtime (2x): $63.36
- Overtime (2.5x): $79.20
- Sat Ord (1.5x): $47.52
- Sun Ord (2x): $63.36
- Pub H Ord (2.5x): $79.20
- Night Shift (15%) - on a continuous planned night shift (five nights): $36.36
- Afternoon Shift (15%): $36.36
- Night Shift (30%) - on a non-continuous night shift: $41.04
**Requirements**:
- MR licence
- Current drivers' licence
- Experience in operating mini excavators on brown fields construction sites
- Ability to read DBYD drawings.
- Happy to work both in and out of the machine.
- Basic Worksite Traffic MGMT (can be facilitated as part of the onboarding process)
- Ability to self-start and work as part of a team
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical exam, including a drug and alcohol screen.
- Fully vaccinated.
