About the role

As Library Services Officer you will be part of the Library Branch Services team and responsible for supporting day-to-day library operations and providing effective customer service to a diverse audience in accordance with best practice and the Library and Customer Services objectives and vision: Creating connections, improving lives, every moment matters.

Your main focus will be on providing support in library operations and functions through effective and efficient delivery of library services to the community.

Some of your key accountabilities will include:

- Provide effective point of need customer services
- Ensure exemplary and positive customer experience
- Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support
- Assist and engage with diverse customers

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Belief in our values of safety and wellbeing, communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership
- Working with Children Blue card (if working in the Children's Library)
- Experience in point of need customer service
- The ability to be resilient, agile and a supportive team member
- The ability to undertake a range of manual handling tasks
- Willingness to work at different locations and work outside the normal span of working hours
- Minimum education, Year 12 or equivalent
- A certificate in a relevant discipline is desirable

These are casual positions with an hourly rate of $48.41 ($76,541 per annum pro-rata), plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
