About the role
The Business Support and Library Content Manager provides overall management of the functional areas of Library Programming, Library Content Development and Logistics as well as Libraries and Customer Services Business Support. This includes budget oversight, workforce planning, and strategic direction.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Provide strong and consistent leadership to coordinators and teams
* Undertake operational planning, budgeting, risk, reporting, policy development and specialist reports
* Lead continuous improvement of the functional areas through the formulation and implementation of new, and revision of existing, policies, systems, programs and services
* Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and local and regional partners to develop and deliver quality service outcomes and initiatives
* Present and maintain branch facilities as welcoming, inclusive and safe spaces, addressing any facility maintenance matters

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Relevant professional qualification and/or substantial equivalent experience in a senior service leadership role
* Demonstrated expertise and leadership in the delivery of library and customer service operational functions, within a government or other relevant organisation
* Knowledge of, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of all relevant federal, state and local legislation and relevant council policies and operating environment
* Substantial level of knowledge and experience in strategy development, business planning, project management, reporting, complex facility management and financial management
* Belief in our values of safety and wellbeing, communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership
