Saints Catholic College welcomes students from all cultures and creeds and fosters a warm, friendly and caring environment.About the RolePastoral Care ManagerHaving a central role in the leadership team you will be a key support for the CEO - Head of College and work closely alongside the Business Operations Manager.The key aspects of the role are to:Provide a stabilising and active presence to SCC residents through developing, embedding and leading effective pastoral care and behaviour management systems.Provide pastoral support to SCC residents from a diverse range of cultural, national, socioeconomic, faith and educational backgrounds.Provide opportunities for the personal and pastoral development of SCC residents, for the building of leadership skills and creating an ambience of mature, respectful self-regulation within the College, as well as ensuring an active and engaged residential community.Provide efficient supervision and management to SCC residents, their wellbeing and for their discipline.Provide a stabilising and active presence for the residents by developing a mode of operation that encourages collegiality and cultural awareness.Develop, implement and manage policies and practices that support the College’s commitment to providing an outstanding collegiate experience for its residents based on Catholic principles and ethos.Enhance the Catholic identity of the college.Assist the Head of College with the strategic planning in the development of pastoral care, behaviour management and resident wellbeing.Oversee the Chaplaincy, Academic Mentoring, Counselling and Wellbeing Programs of the College including third party providers of resident services.Development of an Alumni and supporter scheme.It is preferred that the Pastoral Care Manager is able to live at the College, in accommodation provided, and undertake after-hours duties and supervision of residents.To commence ASAP.About YouWe are seeking an emotionally aware professional who can manage the eccentricities of a sometimes difficult collegiate environment. You will have a strong and centered personality, be team orientated, flexible, proactive, optimistic, a great communicator and have a commitment to the growth and empowerment of young men and women in our contemporary setting.Selection CriteriaExperience in planning and implementation of student/young adult support and personal development programs.Demonstrated experience in building trusting & productive relationships with young adults.Demonstrated experience in people management and have the ability to effectively manage and lead a student/young adult team.Proven administrative and organisational skills.Proven ability to work under pressure and managing competing tasks.Must be competent to work autonomously and have sound judgement and decision making skills.Must be creative, innovative and be outcome focused.Must be computer literate and have a sound understanding of administrative processes.Be a practicing Catholic, but must also be able to recognise those of other faiths and support them without imposing your own faith or belief structures.Have the willingness to undertake 'on call' duties.Availability and willingness to work outside standard hours as reasonably required.Experience in a collegiate environment is an advantage but not a necessity.RequirementsCurrent Queensland Working with Children Blue Card (or capacity to obtain one).Current and satisfactory National Criminal History Records Check.QualificationsTertiary qualifications in a relevant field to support the position - eg.
