About the Company
Ahrens is a fifth‐generation, Australian family‐owned business with more than 120 years of experience delivering complex projects across construction, engineering, mining, industrial services, water storage and infrastructure.
With close to 2,000 employees nationwide, we continue to grow by investing in our people, systems and ways of working. Our culture is grounded in commitment, integrity and safety — and we're serious about doing things properly, especially when it comes to bringing new people into the business.
About the Role
We're growing our People & Culture team and are looking for a hands‐on Blue‐Collar Senior Recruiter to support our mining and industrial services operations.
This is a delivery‐focused role, partnering directly with operational leaders to recruit trades, operators and labour at volume. You'll own the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing through to offer, and play a key role in keeping our projects workforce‐ready.
What You'll be Doing
* Lead end‐to‐end recruitment for blue‐collar roles across mining and industrial projects
* Partner closely with leaders to understand workforce needs and mobilisation timelines
* Build and maintain talent pipelines to stay ahead of demand
* Manage job ads, sourcing campaigns and agency relationships
* Screen, interview, reference‐check and verify right‐to‐work
* Provide practical advice on hiring options and IR considerations
What We're Looking For
* 3+ years' experience in blue‐collar or high‐volume recruitment
* Mining, construction or industrial services experience (highly regarded)
* Strong operational credibility — you speak the language of site
* Solid knowledge of Australian employment and work rights requirements
* A practical, people‐focused recruiter who gets things done
Why Join Ahrens?
* High‐impact internal role — no agency KPIs or BD
* Direct connection to site readiness and project delivery
* Supportive People & Culture team with room to shape how things are done
