Program Overview
Barwon Health in Victoria, Australia invites you to join the Graduate Midwife Program and the Combined Graduate Nurse/Midwife Program, commencing February 2027. The program is 12 months for graduate midwives and a 6‐month nursing/6‐month maternity rotation for double‐degree graduates.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical care in maternity and nursing wards as part of a structured rotation.
* Engage in evidence‐based practice, support women and families, and work within a multidisciplinary team.
* Participate in orientation and study days, and apply new knowledge to patient care.
* Document clinical activities and attend supervisory sessions.
Eligibility & Qualifications
* Currently completing a Bachelor of Midwifery or a double Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery (double degree).
* Registered and eligible to participate in the PMCV Allocation and Placement Service Match. Registration must be completed before applying.
* Provide a concise CV (max 3 pages), a brief career statement, and relevant work history.
* Submit official academic transcript, clinical appraisal tools for recent placements, and other application documents via the online portal.
* Meet all mandatory screening requirements: Police Record Check, Immunisation Status Clearance, and Working with Children Check where applicable.
