About the opportunity
We are looking for a highly motivated Operations and Administration Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will support the Design Modelling and Fabrication Lab (DMaF Lab) in the School of Design, Architecture and Planning by managing administrative tasks and providing operational support, ensuring compliance with University WHS policies, and providing advice on policy and procedures. You will handle procurement, record keeping, asset tracking, inventory management, scheduling, and budget tracking, while building rapport with staff to meet objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the delivery of administrative activities in the work area, ensuring high-quality and efficient support
* Coordinating procurement for the DMaF Lab, including maintenance of supplier accounts, processing purchase orders, credit card transactions, consumable stock purchases, and equipment and capital expenditure purchases
* Compiling reports, including analysis, drawing data from various sources within and outside the department for reporting
* Interpreting WHS policy and university standards/guidelines to create templates, procedures, and processes for the DMaF Labs

* Ability to exercise initiative, tact, good judgment, and work independently
* Effective communication skills (verbal and written) and strong problem-solving abilities
* Excellent time management, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and work under pressure to meet deadlines
