The target group is required to be engaged with specialised drug and alcohol treatment service and working on their drug and/or substance abuse challenges which may be barriers to maintaining stable housing. The service has a strong focus on building the capacity of clients to resolve their tenancy issues by providing tenancy advice and support, advocacy, practical assistance and providing referrals to link clients in with mainstream services. n The Role n Support is provided to the client for an average of 6 months with intense support being provided initially and reducing over time as the needs impacting upon homelessness are addressed. Outreach support is provided at a minimum of fortnightly home visits.
