Apply on Kit Job: kitjobau.com/job/39k9x5 Respect, Excellence, Celebration, Compassion, Acceptance, Professionalism n Join an organisation that makes a real difference within the community. n About Centrecare n Centrecare is a not-for-profit organisation with over 300 employees and is committed to delivering quality professional counselling, support, accommodation, mediation and training services in over 11 locations across the Perth metropolitan, Goldfields and South West regions. n The Service n Centrecare's Housing Support Workers; Drug and Alcohol Initiative (HSW DAI) South West Region aims to support people who are experiencing or have a history of drug and/or substance abuse issues to achieve and sustain long term accommodation. The target group is required to be engaged with specialised drug and alcohol treatment service and working on their drug and/or substance abuse challenges which may be barriers to maintaining stable housing. The service has a strong focus on building the capacity of clients to resolve their tenancy issues by providing tenancy advice and support, advocacy, practical assistance and providing referrals to link clients in with mainstream services. n The Role n Support is provided to the client for an average of 6 months with intense support being provided initially and reducing over time as the needs impacting upon homelessness are addressed. Outreach support is provided at a minimum of fortnightly home visits. The service goal is support people who experience or have a history of drug and substance abuse to overcome those challenges and barriers to enable them to sustain stable housing. n Selection Criteria n - Minimum Certificate IV in Community Services or related discipline. - Relevant experience in the areas of outreach, homelessness, individual/family support and/or case management. - Well-developed communication skills, written and verbal. - Computer literacy skills and the ability to collect statistical data related to service delivery. - Ability to work with a broad cross section of people to include business, other community-based agencies, private real estate agents, government and different socio-economic groups. - An understanding of strength-based approaches to client services. - Ability to work within a team. - WA Driver's licence. - National Police Certificate and valid Working with Children Check Advantagesn - Discounted corporate health cover provided for by Bupa and Medibank Private - Salary packaging options up to $15,900, increases your take home pay - Annual leave % - Extra 5 days leave per year pro rata - Access to training and professional development - Insurance cover to and from work - Access to confidential Employee Assistance Program - 12 weeks paid maternity leave - Study Leave of five hours per week after two years of service - Clinical and Management Supervision - Aboriginal staff provided with cultural support through the Cultural Leads How to Applyn Click apply and you will be directed to our online job board to view further details on the vacancy description and complete your application. n Position closes 16 April 2026 Shortlisting will commence upon receipt of applications, Centrecare reserves the right to close the position early if needed.
