Our client is a global health care company that specialises and takes pride in developing quality rescue medicine through carefully researching and manufacturing pharmaceutical products.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
***
The Quality Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Quality Team (QC and QA) by ensuring that the team works within required costing and time targets whilst providing support and structure.
This role is an 18-month contract.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensuring that the QMS as described in the Company's Quality Policy and Quality Manual is complied with at BTG Australasia
- Conduct GMP/GDP audits internally and externally
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the QA and QC departments
- Continuously review key quality parameters through the CAPA process to drive the continuous improvement in Quality standards
- Ensure all documentation for a particular product is collated on a batch-by-batch basis and reviewed
- Ensure Certificates of Analysis are generated and filed for each batch of serum released
- To be the first point of contact for regulatory bodies such as the TGA, FDA and any other appropriate regulatory authority at time of inspection
- Review from a Quality perspective, the effective operation of the livestock health management program Support the business to develop a competency-based training program
- Be able to identify and change procedures which are inconsistent or unworkable
- Provide global QMS and support for interstate and overseas audits for non-Australian suppliers as required
- Role modelling and ensuring compliance values are followed
- Ensuring that all interactions and engagements are carried out in a professional, efficient, courteous manner
- General housekeeping
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- A Degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Pharmacy or Life Science
- Previous experience in a senior quality role, preferably in a manufacturing background / pharmaceuticals
- In depth knowledge of cGMP
- Ability to conduct internal and external GMP/GDP audits
- Proficient within Excel and word
- A current police clearance or willingness to obtain
**HIGHLY DESIRABLE**
- Minimum 5 years' experience within a similar role
