Our client is a well-established Australian business operating within the food and manufacturing sector. With a strong reputation in the market and a long-standing customer base, the business operates in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, efficiency and strong stakeholder relationships are critical to success. They are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Officer to join the team during an exciting period of process improvement and growth.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, this position will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable and accounts receivable function while also providing general administrative support to the wider business. Working as part of a close-knit finance team, you will be responsible for processing invoices, managing payments, reconciling accounts, handling customer and supplier queries, and supporting daily banking activities. The role will also involve assisting with audit requirements and contributing to finance process improvement initiatives as the business looks to streamline several manual processes. This is a hands‐on position suited to someone who enjoys transactional finance and thrives in a high-volume environment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring previous experience across both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ideally within a product-based, manufacturing, wholesale or distribution environment. You will be comfortable working with high transaction volumes, managing competing priorities and communicating with customers and suppliers regarding account queries and payment matters. Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or similar will be highly regarded, alongside strong attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented approach. The business is seeking someone who enjoys being a key part of the finance function, is willing to assist where needed, and takes pride in delivering accurate and timely outcomes.
