About the Role:
* Supervise lawyers in the team and provide second counsel as needed.
* Handle technical or sensitive matters personally.
* Ensure tasks are completed efficiently by driving issues forward through effective stakeholder engagement and clear communication.
* Lead staff development, set goals, and drive performance through effective performance management.
* Work closely with senior executives to ensure appropriate briefing and escalation.
The successful candidate will have a degree in law from an Australian university or a comparable overseas degree recognized in Australia for admission to practice. They must hold a Practising Certificate or be eligible to attain one, along with at least three years' post-qualification experience. Strong technical legal advice writing, second counselling, and research skills, along with sophisticated relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills, are also essential.
