Decarbonisation Engineer Role
As a Decarbonisation Engineer, you will contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions and gain hands-on experience across major infrastructure upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver decarbonisation projects, including major upgrades to plant and equipment and investment in new infrastructure for alternative fuels.
* Gain hands-on experience in all aspects of cement-making processes.
* Participate in electrical engineering design, construction, commissioning, and integration into operations.
* Embed compliance and safety into all designs to ensure operational readiness.
* Assist in the design, installation, commissioning, and programming of large-scale variable speed drives.
* Design and manage electrical hazardous area installations.
* Develop and optimise automation and control concepts.
* Analyse data and solve technical issues.
* Assist in major projects and shutdown work, with opportunities to develop leadership skills.
* Collaborate with teams across integrated cement plants.
About You
Qualifications:
* Completed or near completion of a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (Dual Degree) Electrical and Electronic, or Bachelor of Engineering Power.
* A strong interest in complex infrastructure projects and hands-on problem-solving.
* Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.
* Enjoyment of collaboration across disciplines and working on high-impact initiatives.
* Eagerness to develop expertise in compliance, systems modernisation, and protection systems.
* Proactive attitude, openness to feedback, and motivation to grow into a future leader.
* Willingness to relocate for rotations.
