Senior Civil Design opportunity to join an iconic Australian consultancy's Brisbane based team, working on large urban development precinct projects.
TalentWeb is looking for an experienced and capable Civil Designer for a permanent, full-time position. This role will see you drive technically complex design solutions, lead project delivery, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development, and ideal for someone looking for the next step up on their career.
Responsibilities
* Leading medium/large urban development design projects;
* Reviewing models and documentation and providing technical guidance throughout design and construction process
* Lead and manage project scope, resourcing, scheduling, budgets, and risk.
* Prepare and coordinate tenders, proposals, business development and strategic growth initiatives.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact where required.
* Mentor and lead civil designers and engineers.
* Promote consistent design quality and contribute to improvements in workflows and technical frameworks.
* Represent the Brisbane civil team in knowledge forums and project meetings.
Qualifications
* At least 8 years' experience in design project delivery in Australia ;
* A solid understanding in the use of Civil 3 D and 12D;
* Previous experience working on urban development projects, including the design of bulk earthworks, stormwater and local roads;
* Ability to mentor & lead junior staff and improve team performance.
* Commercial acumen including project cost control, scheduling, risk awareness, and delivery management.
* Experience in preparation of proposals, scopes, pricing and client engagement initiatives.
