2. Salary: $117,997 to $123,272 - RN/M3 - Full Time / Ongoing appointment
3. The Nurse Consultant provides leadership and supervision to the multidisciplinary team that provides clinical services within DASSA Outpatient services. The role has accountability for the nursing practice, the outcomes of nursing practices for specific client group, the professional advice given, delegations of care made and for addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy; it also supports a staff to provide evidence based, responsive and prioritised services including coordinating staff activities, rostering, case allocation and participating in audits and quality improvement activities as well as maintains a clinical caseload relevant to clients with Alcohol and Other Drug use and comorbidities.
4. The role will provide clinical nursing/midwifery expertise on a range of clinical activities, including Alcohol and Other Drug and psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, treatment intervention and care planning, therapeutic interventions, advocacy and liaison with other service providers and undertake clinical care coordination as part of the multi-disciplinary team within the DASSA Outpatient Services. The role has a significant degree of autonomy in decision making.

6. Participating in the coordination of client care delivery.
7. Undertaking management and leadership activities as directed by the Regional Manager.
8. Primarily providing nursing care to complex patients including those with comorbidity.
9. Coordination and leadership of projects and/or programs that contribute clinical expertise to improve client/service outcomes.

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
Special Conditions
12. Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
13. Must be available to act in Outpatient Regional Manager role as required.
