Supporting Independence and Quality of Life
As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in guiding individuals towards regaining independence, improving their quality of life, and reintegration into the community and workforce.
This role involves working with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, families, insurance companies, employers, and other healthcare professionals to evaluate physical, psychological, and social factors. You will present case information to various stakeholders and provide credible recommendations/solutions to drive desired outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Completing comprehensive assessments and developing personalized rehabilitation plans that support a whole-of-person approach to rehabilitation
* Utilizing lateral thinking and forward planning skills to identify potential return-to-work pathways in line with likely recovery milestones
* Employing problem-solving skills, clinical experience, and knowledge of injury management to perform assessments and facilitate the return-to-work of claimants
Requirements
* Tertiary-level qualification and appropriate full registration as a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, or Provisional Psychologist (AHPRA), or Exercise Physiologist (ESSA)
* Previous experience completing structured assessments is desired or passion for supporting an injured person to identify their strengths, transferable skills, and potential to establish a new career direction
* Experience with complex case management and supporting clients to achieve their return-to-life or return-to-work outcomes, despite challenging circumstances
