Job Title

Maintenance Officer – part‐time or full‐time.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend to maintenance duties within the nursing home
• Undertake general day‐to‐day maintenance repairs, operation of buildings, service of hardware and equipment
• Ensure all maintenance duties are completed safely, following the relevant policies and procedures
• Ensure timely repair and maintenance of equipment used in resident care and common areas
• Work cooperatively with the care and maintenance team
• When required, oversee and coordinate any contractors working on site
• Report to the Facility Manager and take direction as required
• Complete preventative and corrective maintenance programmes and keep records up to date

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Maintenance experience in a hospitality or accommodation setting (desirable but not essential)
• Knowledge and skill in maintaining property and groundskeeping
• Willingness to undertake work throughout the aged care facility
• Ability to deliver work to a high standard and within timeframes
• Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
• Sound computer skills
• Knowledge of Work Health and Safety principles
• Demonstrated respect for the elderly
• Own transport or live locally
• Positive "can‐do" attitude
