The Tender & Proposal Writer is responsible for developing compelling, client-focused and compliant proposals, tenders and bids that clearly articulate the organisation's value proposition. This role plays a critical part in securing new business, strengthening existing customer relationships and supporting organisational growth by ensuring submissions are high quality, competitive and aligned with strategic objectives.
This role would be ideal for a procurement specialist looking to expand their commercial experience, or a mid-level tender writer looking to take the next step in their career.
Key responsibilities
* Research, plan, write, and edit persuasive content for tenders, proposals, expressions of interest (EOIs), and grant submissions.
* Coordinate and compile supporting documentation, ensuring submissions meet customer, funding body, and compliance requirements.
* Liaise with operational, legal, and finance teams to ensure submissions reflect organisational capability and risk management.
* Ensure consistent branding, tone, and messaging across all written materials.
* Review and analyse submission outcomes and feedback to improve future proposals.
* Contribute to bid strategies and proposal management processes.
* Maintain a library of standard content, case studies, and key organisational information for re-use.
* Monitor industry and competitor trends to enhance competitiveness.
* Provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on best practice in proposal development.
What we're looking for
* Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or related field (or equivalent experience)
* Proven experience in tender and proposal writing, bid management and grant submissions
* Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail
* Strong project management skills and proven ability to manage deadlines
* Experience in the healthcare, education or government sectors desirable
