* About the Role: We are seeking Auxiliary Firefighters to join our team. As an Auxiliary Firefighter, you will be a vital part of our emergency response team, responding to fires and other emergencies in a safe and effective manner.

Main Responsibilities:
">
* Respond to fire and emergency incidents as a member of a team, operating specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively.
* Promote community safety and emergency preparedness by contributing to community education activities.
* Develop and maintain competencies by actively participating in regular drills and other relevant training courses provided by QFES to ensure safety and effectiveness on the fire ground.
* Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
* Contribute to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities.
* Ensure maintenance and repair of operational equipment and station facilities.
* Contribute to incident reporting and general station administration as required.

Key Requirements:
">
* You must have a valid Australian Permanent Resident Status and hold a Manual C Class driver's licence.
* You must commit to attending 50% of calls as a day worker with routine hours or 30% of calls as a shift worker or have non-routine hours.
* You must attend 75% of regular drill and training sessions.
* You must obtain an MRV licence within 12 months of employment at your own expense.
* You must participate in ongoing skills acquisition and maintenance programs, including first aid/emergency care.
* You must comply with QFES policies and procedures, including code of conduct, safety, and personal presentation standards.
