THE ROLE
* Lead and manage HV operations, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.
* Approve Network Outage Requests, Switching Sheets/Isolations, Access Permits, and Permits to Work for all HV areas.
* Assess and approve personnel for competency, ensuring their ability to work unsupervised in HV zones.
* Supervise the operation and maintenance of critical HV systems, including transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
* Manage the day-to-day monitoring and switching of the SCADA control system, ensuring smooth operations across the network.
* Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure systems remain reliable and efficient.
* Conduct routine inspections and testing to identify issues and potential risks, addressing them proactively.
* Collaborate with management and vendors to schedule and execute maintenance and repairs, including shutdowns.
* Provide technical guidance and leadership to the team, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and safety standards.
* Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime.
* Stay at the forefront of industry advancements, suggesting and implementing improvements to enhance HV systems.
* Maintain detailed records for all activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
ABOUT YOU
* High Voltage Operating license
* Valid Electrical License
* Minimum 5 years of experience required
* General Construction Induction (White Card)
* O&M knowledge for solar plants
* Health and Safety experience
* Quality and environmental experience
* Valid driver's license
* Working knowledge of MS programs
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
