We're partnering with a leading Australian FMCG and manufacturing business to appoint an experienced Supply Planning Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for end-to-end planning, S&OP leadership, operational improvement, and national supply optimisation across a complex multi-site network.
The position will play a critical role in aligning demand, manufacturing, inventory, logistics, and customer outcomes while driving continuous improvement and supply chain transformation initiatives across the business.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the National Supply Chain & Logistics Manager, you will lead the national planning function and drive operational efficiency, inventory optimisation, and supply chain integration initiatives across manufacturing and distribution operations.
You'll be responsible for developing robust national supply and distribution plans, leading the supply planning component of the S&OP process, and delivering operational improvement projects that create measurable business value.
This role requires someone who can influence across operations, logistics, commercial, finance, and customer teams while bringing structure, visibility, and best-practice planning capability to the broader business.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead national supply planning and S&OP supply planning activities
* Develop effective supply and distribution plans across a national network
* Drive inventory optimisation and service level performance
* Lead operational improvement and supply chain transformation initiatives
* Partner closely with manufacturing, logistics, commercial, and finance teams
* Improve planning systems, reporting cadence, and data visibility
* Deliver long-term planning horizons aligned to seasonal and operational requirements
* Influence and lead change across established processes and stakeholder groups
* Mentor and guide planning teams to embed best-practice planning capability
* Support integration and standardisation of planning processes and systems across the business
About You
You are a commercially minded supply chain leader with strong experience operating within complex FMCG, food manufacturing, or industrial environments.
You bring a combination of strategic planning capability, operational leadership, and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to drive change and deliver outcomes across a fast-paced supply chain environment.
You will ideally bring:
* 10+ years' supply chain and S&OP experience
* Previous leadership experience within planning or supply chain functions
* Strong experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, or related industries
* Demonstrated success leading operational improvement initiatives
* Advanced SAP capability and strong analytical skills
* Strong communication and stakeholder management capability
* A collaborative, solutions-focused leadership style
