Through advocacy, evidence-informed practice, and education, it supports grieving Australians. By leading with empathy, compassion, inclusivity, and courage, it aims to build the nation's capacity to respond to grief.
GriefAustralia is seeking a Clinical Educator to develop, deliver, coordinate, and facilitate both accredited and non-accredited education programs to enhance their services. The primary goal is to ensure participants acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver high-quality care. The role requires providing expert subject matter knowledge and ensuring all resources and educational content are evidence-informed, current, and of the highest standard. GriefAustralia also offers continuing professional development for its staff.
Key requirements for this role include:
1. Extensive experience and/or training in bereavement counselling
2. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or willingness to obtain it
3. At least five years' experience as a counsellor and two years teaching at tertiary level or within an RTO
4. Eligibility for membership of a relevant professional association, such as the AASW or APS
5. A strong understanding of grief and bereavement literature and evidence-based practice
