**The Opportunity**:
The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a Parliamentary Service Level 6 Web Publishing Manager.

The publishing team manages the library's online presence including our website, Client Portal (intranet) and coordinates publication of engaging research, legislative analysis and data visualisation. We create and distribute Library communications to Parliamentarians and the wider community, and manage our social channels (LinkedIn, X and Facebook). We're looking for someone who has the skills and experience to manage the library's publishing work and support our creative and skilled team. You'll be highly organised, have a great attention to detail and excellent stakeholder engagement. You'll leverage and coordinate team expertise and work closely with Library researchers to deliver engaging research publications. You'll lead incident and problem resolution and escalate technical issues to our IT colleagues as necessary. You'll assist with the Library's reporting activities by managing web analytics and identifying improvements. From time to time, you'll also support your Director to deliver publishing enhancement projects.

**Who we are looking for**:

**Job Specific Requirements**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable but not essential
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (Protected/Restricted) security clearance.

**Immediate supervisor: Director, Client Relations and Publishing**

Under limited direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for Parliamentary Services Level 6. The work may cover a range of tasks associated with the provision of client focussed web and print publishing services in the Parliamentary Library. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Contribute to the effective delivery of the Library's communications, publications and its online presence by:
a. allocating, tracking and ensuring completion of communication and publishing requests, and loading, maintaining and reviewing web content
b. leading incident and problem resolution, providing advice on web-related matters and escalating issues as appropriate
c. maintaining, monitoring and identifying improvements to the Library's intranet and website
d. ensuring published content meets Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
e. managing and reporting on web analytics and
f. supporting the Director's delivery of communications and publishing projects.

2. Manage and maintain team procedures and processes to ensure consistency of work and optimal utilisation of resources; identify areas of improvement and coordinate implementation under direction.

3. Leverage and coordinate team expertise and work closely with Library researchers to deliver engaging research publications.

4. Manage and supervise communication and publishing support; mentor and support career development.

Duties Representing Highest Function:

- Employees of DPS are required to be able, and to be seen to be able, to provide professional advice and services to all Senators and Members without favour or prejudice._
