The Opportunity
As an Experienced Structural Engineer at Pitt&sherry, you will contribute to major infrastructure projects, industrial developments, and commercial ventures. You will work alongside senior engineers to design structural elements in various materials and gain expertise in multiple engineering streams.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Apply engineering fundamentals to develop innovative solutions for complex problems
* Collaborate with clients, designers, and colleagues to deliver practical results
* Create fee proposals and tender documentation
* Mentor junior team members on technical aspects
* Conduct site inspections to brief clients and scope projects
Your Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience in structural engineering design
* Bachelor of Civil Engineering or higher qualification
* Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
* Strong report writing abilities
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience with 3D modelling software, preferably SpaceGass; other analysis packages also welcome
* Strong understanding of engineering principles
* Sketch production skills
* A passionate engineer eager to explore diverse structural disciplines
* A self-directed learner capable of dissecting engineering standards and applying concepts under guidance
* Developing strong project management skills
* Attention to detail
* Extensive experience in concrete and steel design
