For more than 25 years, SWC (RTO ****), has partnered with hospitals and health services to help teams build capability, confidence, and connection through Vocational Education and Training (VET) nationally recognised qualifications and tailored training solutions.
We're seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to help expand our presence across Queensland by identifying new opportunities, strengthening partnerships, and driving sustainable growth in the hospital and healthcare sector.
About the Role
The Business Development Manager plays a key role in driving new business, expanding market reach, and deepening relationships across the hospital and healthcare sector.
You'll be responsible for identifying and converting new clients, growing traineeship and workforce development programs, and building meaningful partnerships that deliver value to both employers and learners.
This is a fast-paced, relationship-focused role ideal for someone who thrives on achieving targets, enjoys consultative selling, and is passionate about improving workforce outcomes in the health sector.
Intra-state travel will be required to meet clients, attend events, and represent SWC across the sector.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and secure new clients across hospitals, health services, and healthcare providers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including executives, HR, and operational leaders.
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to proposal, negotiation, and onboarding.
Achieve and exceed sales, revenue, and enrolment targets in line with SWC's growth strategy.
Collaborate closely with operations and training teams to ensure seamless program delivery and an excellent client experience.
Maintain a consultative, partnership-driven approach focused on long-term relationships and workforce outcomes.
Represent SWC at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder forums to promote our brand and generate new business leads.
Provide regular reporting on pipeline, conversion rates, and market insights to support strategic decision-making.
About You
You're a target-driven business developer with a proven track record of achieving sales success and building trusted relationships within the Vocational Education and Training Sector (VET).
You're commercially minded, proactive, and motivated by creating real impact through workforce development.
You'll also bring:
Minimum four years' experience in business development, sales, or account management within VET sectors.
Strong ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers across complex client networks.
Proven success achieving and exceeding growth targets.
Excellent commercial and strategic acumen with the ability to design tailored training solutions.
Strong pipeline management and CRM (HubSpot desirable) experience.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Collaborative approach with a focus on team success and client satisfaction.
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel across QLD.
Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
Knowledge of healthcare training, funding models, or workforce development frameworks will be highly regarded.
