About Norton Gold Fields Norton Gold Fields is one of Australia's largest domestic gold producers, with a recent annual production of up to 200,000 ounces. We are seeking a passionate Auto Electrician to join our new Mobile Maintenance team.
About the role As an Auto Electrician at Norton Gold Fields, you are responsible for conducting the maintenance and repair of the Paddington Operations Heavy Mining Equipment (HME), in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory requirements and health and safety regulations.
What you will be doing
* Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards, damage, and defects in the work area.
* Diagnose faults and breakdowns across the Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) fleet.
* Complete planned maintenance and servicing tasks efficiently.
* Estimate time and materials needed for jobs and raise orders accordingly.
* Undertake repairs of both Light Vehicle (LV) and HME fleet as necessary.
* Regularly inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
* Manage costs responsibly to minimize rework and unnecessary use of parts and services.
* Continuously review work tasks and jobs for opportunities to improve efficiency.
About you
* At least 2 years of experience as an Auto Electrical tradesperson in the Mining Industry or similar. (Essential)
* Trade qualified with AUR30320 Certificate III in Automotive Technology or equivalent. (Essential)
* Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class "C" Driver's Licence (Essential).
* Air Conditioning Licence (Essential).
* Experience with CAT trucks and Hitachi excavators (Desirable).
* Strong commitment to safety and team player.
* Good understanding of the following machines: CAT 777F, 789D, 775F Trucks; CAT 16M, 18M Graders; CAT D10T Dozers; Hitachi EX1900, EX2600, EX3600 Excavators; Komatsu PC1250 Excavators.

* Receive up to $5k site allowance per annum, depending on site location.
* Receive up to 10% short-term incentive payment (STIP) of base salary.
