Job Title: Consultant Physician - Geriatrics
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced individuals to lead a multidisciplinary team in providing specialist geriatric medicine services to patients. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, be able to promote patient safety and quality of care, and provide orientation, training, supervision and education for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners and other health workers.
This role involves working with the Head of Department and other Consultants to achieve national, state and EMHS performance standards and targets. The successful applicant will work within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the EMHS Area Medical Credentialing Committee.
To be eligible for this position, applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP) or receive election to the RACP Fellowship prior to appointment.
