Teach For Australia's trail-blazing Leadership Development Program (LDP) offers you the chance to make an impact from day 1.
Teach in a school that needs you, complete a Master's of Teaching, and earn a wage – all while making a real, tangible difference through education.
The program:
1. 2-year program: Complete a Master of Teaching (Secondary) with an option to extend to 3 years.
2. Earn while you learn: $62,000 - $72,000 per year plus additional financial support, depending on the placement location.
3. Teach where you are needed: Contribute to a school that serves a low socioeconomic community.
4. Coaching and mentoring: Receive support and coaching from experienced professionals.
5. Find connection: Join our 1,600-strong Alumni network; become a crucial part of your school's community.
6. Gain a life-changing experience: Make friends, memories, and learnings for life.
Beyond the classroom, this program equips you with skills to drive change in education, policy, and beyond – preparing you for a career of impact wherever you choose to lead.
About you:
Before you apply for the Leadership Development Program, you'll need to:
1. Be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of applying.
2. Hold a Bachelor's degree in a discipline other than teaching.
3. Be able to enrol in at least one learning area, depending on the subject.
4. Be willing to accept a placement within a State or Territory where we currently operate.
Please note that we close learning areas progressively as we meet demand.
We currently place LDP 'associates' in schools in:
* Victoria
* Western Australia
* Tasmania
* South Australia
* Northern Territory
