Utilise your knowledge and experience within the planning industry to ensure an outstanding customer experience through the delivery of technical expertise and procedural guidance.
We are seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working within a team environment and consistently achieves compliance with strict legislative timeframes and assessment regulations. As part of the Development Services team, you will be responsible for the professional and timely assessment, review, and processing of a wide range of development applications – including residential, commercial, industrial, and rural projects. You will also provide accurate and practical planning advice to the community and key stakeholders, assist the team in meeting strategic objectives, and undertake site inspections and investigations into potential breaches of planning legislation, all while upholding high service standards.
To be successful you will need:
* Knowledge and understanding of planning assessment, the planning industry, and a passion for enhancing the built environment.
* Excellent communication skills to guide customers through complex enquiries.
* Key technical knowledge of relevant Acts, regulations and codes including the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 and Local Government Act 1999.
* Experience in the delivery of end-to-end planning assessment process compliant with relevant Acts.
* The ability to read and analyse plans and specifications and to source and interpret relevant information.
