About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Intervention Worker to provide support and guidance to young people aged 12-25 who are struggling with mental health issues. You will be working in partnership with headspace to deliver youth-friendly services that cater to the unique needs of each individual.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
* Providing brief interventions and coordinating care for mild to moderate mental health concerns
* Conducting comprehensive assessments (bio-psycho-social, risk, AOD), and building collaborative action plans
* Working within a multidisciplinary team (GPs, allied health, vocational specialists and more)
* Offering support through centre-based, outreach, or telehealth services
* Being part of community engagement and youth-led initiatives
What We Are Looking For:
* A tertiary qualification and registration in Psychology, Social Work, OT, Mental Health Nursing, or equivalent (ACA Level 3+ for Counsellors)
* Skills in assessment, risk management, and therapeutic interventions
* A natural ability to connect and communicate with young people
* An understanding of trauma-informed care and a passion for early intervention
