About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and client-focused Accountant with a minimum of 2–3 years of public practice experience to join our growing team.
This role offers the opportunity to work directly with a diverse range of small business and individual clients while developing your technical accounting and taxation skills. You will be involved in preparing financial statements, income tax returns, BAS and IAS lodgements, and providing ongoing support to clients across a variety of industries.
Working closely with our senior accountant and partner, you will gain valuable exposure to client advisory services and have the opportunity to build strong professional relationships while contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of individual, partnership, company, trust & SMSF tax returns
* Preparation and lodgement of BAS/IAS
* Financial statement preparation
* SMSF Preparation
* Liaising with clients and the ATO
* Assisting with tax planning and compliance matters
About You
* Relevant accounting qualification (Degree in Accounting or similar)
* CPA/CA qualified or currently studying (desirable but not essential)
* Minimum 2+ years' experience in Australian public practice
* Strong knowledge of Australian taxation law and compliance requirements
* Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, BGL)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* High attention to detail and ability to work independently
