Myndshift Group has been engaged by our client partner, a respected mining contractor leading the restart of a major gold operation in North Queensland.
About the Role
Located approximately 150km south-west of Townsville, the Mt Carlton Gold Mine forms part of Charters Towers goldfield, one of Australia’s most established gold-producing regions. As operations ramp up under new leadership, the site is entering an exciting new phase of production, creating strong opportunities for experienced tradespeople to be part of its next chapter.
We are seeking experienced Light Vehicle Fitters to join the maintenance team and play a key role in maintaining the site’s light vehicle fleet and ancillary equipment. This is an opportunity to secure a position on a growing operation as it gains momentum.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out servicing, planned maintenance, and breakdown repairs on light vehicles
* Diagnose faults and perform repairs efficiently and safely
* Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance activities
* Maintain service schedules and ensure vehicle compliance
* Ensure all work is completed in line with site safety standards and procedures
* Complete maintenance reports and documentation accurately
About You:
* Trade qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic / Fitter
* Experience maintaining 4WDs, light trucks, and site light vehicles (Toyota, Isuzu, etc.)
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
* Ability to work effectively within a team
