Through this involvement, we have gained a great deal of understanding of the requirements expected from our clients and are committed and focused on the needs of our client, the general public and the end users of vital infrastructure works.
We are looking for a Senior Hauling Technician whose tasks and duties include:
-Actively participate in Daily Site Risk Assessments and toolbox talks;
-Comply with site rules, including PPE Requirements;
-Understand and work following safe work method Statements and Environmental Work Method Statements;
-Assist the Site Supervisor in determining the most effective methodologies, plant and equipment;
-Cable hauling fibre (External and Internal) including 1 Fibre up to 432 Fibre;
-Understand Telecommunications carrier hauling rules and standards;
-Pipe proving/RRP; Basic blockage clearing skills including dig down repair and flush;
-Scoping, site survey and feedback information to back-office; A daily report of work competition status must be submitted to your supervisor; And other works as required by company management.
-Install, maintain and repair data transmission equipment, aerial lines, conduits, cables, radio antennae and telecommunications equipment and appliances.
-Examining drawings, specifications and work areas to determine positioning and connections for equipment to be installed;
-Locating faults in telecommunications equipment using instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, ammeters and transmission measuring equipment;
-Attaching wires and cables to appliances;
-Adjusting, replacing and repairing faulty items, and testing equipment using electronic instruments;
-Installing cabling for telephone, radio, pay TV and computer transmission Joining cables and sealing sheaths with lead and thermoplastic
-Erecting, testing and maintaining aerial and underground wires and cables, and radio and mobile phone antennae Installing telecommunications equipment and appliances such as telephones, switchboards and data transmission equipment.
Our candidate must have:
- Relevant qualifications: Diploma in the relevant field - Telecommunications/Networking Construction White card; RIIWHS302D - Implement a Traffic Management plan First Aid & CPR Course HLTAID011 Knowledge of different types of Telecommunication Networks/ Carriers
- Requirements Valid driver's licence - MR of equivalent driver's license Relevant skills: Knowledge of different types of Telecommunication Networks/ Carriers Requirements Valid driver's licence - MR of equivalent driver's license
- Relevant Experience: Minimum 2 years of construction experience in a similar position
