About The Role
Reporting to the Freight Manager the Export Administrator will be responsible for the accurate preparation and submission of export shipping documentation and customs declarations, ensuring full compliance with applicable international trade regulations. You will manage coordination with freight forwarders for timely collection of shipments from our Adelaide manufacturing facility as well as from overseas contract manufacturers and suppliers. This role demands proactive collaboration with internal departments, logistics partners, and relevant stakeholders to guarantee the on-time delivery of customer orders, promptly identifying and resolving any issues that may affect shipment schedules.
Core Elements Will Include
* Prepare precise shipping documentation in accordance with Codan policies and customer requirements.
* Ensure export customs declarations are accurate and fully compliant with current regulations.
* Maintain comprehensive export transaction records to support audit and compliance activities.
* Accurately classify goods with the correct HS codes to enable prompt customs clearance.
* Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders from both Adelaide and international contractors.
* Optimize freight bookings, routes, and modes to minimize costs and improve operational efficiency.
* Work closely with sales, warehouse, and finance teams to guarantee on-time, complete order fulfillment.
* Liaise effectively with Regional Sales teams to address order inquiries and provide shipping updates.
* Proactively manage risks related to shipment compliance, customs holds, and regulatory challenges.
About You

Ideal candidates will have a Diploma or Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or relevant experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or global trade operations. Experience with export-controlled products, documentation processes, letters of credit, and DOD/DFAT permit procedures is highly desirable, along with proficiency in Excel, SAP, and export documentation software such as BSM.
