Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement individualised education programs and Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) tailored to students' unique learning needs and goals.
* Provide explicit instruction and support to students with diverse abilities, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, support staff, and families, to optimise student outcomes.
* Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in disability and inclusion.
Requirements:
* A recognised tertiary teaching qualification, with a specialisation in disability education or equivalent.
* Demonstrated experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, intellectual disabilities, and learning difficulties.
* Empathetic, patient, and adaptable, driven by a genuine passion for empowering every student to thrive and succeed in a supportive and inclusive environment.
* Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and the community, and a commitment to nurturing student wellbeing.
Eligibility Requirements:
* A recognised four-year full-time tertiary teaching qualification.
* ACT Teacher Quality Institute Teacher Registration (or eligibility to apply).
* Valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration (or eligibility to apply).
* Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid working visa.
