A great opportunity for a Vehicle Mechanic to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Amberley, QLD.
As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles, including 4WDs, trucks, tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers and even armoured tanks!

About the role
* Conduct maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification
* Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials
* Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts
* Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs
* Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection
* Inspect vehicles and issue road worthiness certificates
Qualifications
* Cert III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent level
* Demonstrated experience to inspect, repair and maintain light, medium and heavy vehicles
* Current Australian State or Territory class C Driver's License
* Australian citizen able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
