About The Opportunity

This hands on role will be part of a team that is capable of maintaining and enhancing the environment of our Parks, Gardens and Open Spaces, Cemeteries, Reserves, Beaches and Foreshores, and Streetscape, within the Bundaberg Region.

About You

* Provision of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia wide – name only).
* Hold and continue to hold a current 'C' class Driver's Licence
* Holding a 'MR' or 'HR' Drivers Licence or have the ability to obtain is highly regarded
* Certificate III or higher in a Horticultural related field is required and or significant demonstrated experience in Parks, Landscape or similar Horticultural activities; including
* Cleaning, maintenance and repair,
* Maintaining and pruning vegetation, grass and turf management, herbicide application
* Play scape maintenance and traffic control and signage set-out.
* Possession of a current Construction Industry General Safety Induction is essential.
* Demonstrated very high level of interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with Council staff and the general public.
* Physical capability to frequently perform manual labouring tasks as described in the position descripting,
* Demonstrated ability to plan and schedule tasks to ensure they are performed efficiently.
