Position summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sales Operations Manager to lead our sales and admissions team. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing daily operations and staff at all admissions touchpoints, and enhancing the overall guest experience. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.

We are seeking someone who is driven and motivated by results and enjoys taking an analytical lens to all areas of park management and operations. We see this as pivotal to facilitating change and informing proactive decisions to continually improve processes and procedures that enhance the guest experience.

Key responsibilities:

Operations:

* Oversee the daily operations of guest services, including admissions, Cabanas, customer inquiries and various Park activations.
* Lead, train, and motivate a team to deliver an excellent customer experience, taking pride in delivering an above average experience in our award-winning business.
* Manage guest feedback, inquiries, and challenges, ensuring timely and professional resolutions.
* Work closely with other departments to coordinate park operations.
* Assist with rostering, staff performance management, and support in executing training programs.

Administration:

* Monitor and analyse guest feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.
* Develop, implement and refine policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
* Develop, monitor and analyse sales reports, providing recommendations based off industry best practice and evolving seasonal data.

Key Selection Criteria

* A positive mindset that promotes great team culture and empowers our team to achieve collective goals.
* Minimum 12-months experience in an operational role within a tourism, hospitality or leisure environment.
* Flexible 7-day availability during the park's 4-month operating season from late November through March with work hours required on weekends and event evenings during this time.
* Whilst working weekends and public holidays is standard for a position in a hospitality, leisure or tourism role, outside our peak summer trading period, you will typically only be required to work weekdays, with weekends off.
* Our Winter Glow event operates from late June to August each year, where weekend and evening work is required
* Ability to work outside, where walking large distances is required.
* Ability to identify and provide proactive solutions to guest challenges from a guest services perspective.
* Ability to work within a structured framework but possess an eagerness for continual improvement
* Current satisfactory Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Current Drivers Licence
* Intermediate Microsoft Office computer skills.

Highly regarded:

* Experience with ticketing or reservation platforms
* Experience with rostering programs
* Experience in leading small teams.
* Conflict resolution practices
