Structural Engineer - Project Development Specialist
Our company is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Maroochydore, Queensland. As a key member of our Community Development team, you will be responsible for designing structural elements of large civil projects, including small bridges, retaining walls, stormwater and wastewater pits, drainage pits, retaining walls and culverts.
* Key Responsibilities:
o Design and development of structural elements for large civil projects
o Large scale asset maintenance and condition assessment
o Scoping, design and construction support
o Providing up-to-date knowledge of construction methods and materials, and their impact on design/construction
o Delivery of practical and innovative engineering solutions for clients
o Collaborating across disciplines to deliver a complete solution to a project
o Ensuring technical work and design calculations are of the highest standard
Requirements
* Qualifications:
o Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
o Demonstrated structural design experience of large Civil projects
o Ideally experienced within a consulting environment
o RPEQ (Structural) accredited (preferred)
o Structural software knowledge of RAM Concept, SpaceGass or ETABS
o Experience using a palette of structural materials
o Familiarity with the current Australian design codes
o Familiarity with the analysis, design, reporting and presentation
o Written and verbal communication skills
