Job Description
We're looking for an experiencedBehaviour Support Practitionerto join our Bunbury team, supporting NDIS participants to achieve their goals and live more independently.
As part of this role, you'll be providing therapeutic supports to participants living in the Bunbury region, working collaboratively to develop and implement positive behaviour support plans that make a meaningful difference.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities will include:
Supporting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning.
Evaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space.
Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies as per the positive behaviour support framework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community
Ensuring individual plans reflect participants' goals, passions and strengths.
Building the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc.
Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.

Qualifications
Current suitability at Core, Proficient or Advanced levelas a Behaviour Support Practitioner
Considerable experience providing support to people with behaviours of concern (professionally and/or personally) is essential
Completed a degree level qualification as an allied health professional is desired
Report writing experience
Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas
Genuine passion for working in the disability sector
