We have a role available for a Health Sector Industry Leader within our Perth office to lead the health sector in its continuing growth and development.

In this position, you will deliver Health Sector projects to tier 1 clients, drive technical excellence, and align performance to clients' needs as part of a multidisciplinary team.

About You
The successful applicant will support the growth of the business through continuous improvement practices within the organisation. This role suits a Senior Building Services Engineer from either an Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, or Fire Services (MEP) background with 10+ years' experience.
* Registered member of Engineers Australia or similar.
* Attained CPEng, CEng, or interest in pursuing.
* Australian Citizenship or permanent working rights in Australia (preferred).
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with various stakeholders (external & internal).
* Highly disciplined in undertaking quality assurance activities to ensure delivery excellence.
* Strong technical knowledge of Western Australian Health Facility Guidelines (WAHFG) and the Licensing and Accreditation Regulatory Unit (LARU) process for private facilities.
* Strong technical knowledge of building services in your discipline.
* Over 10 years of experience in the field of building services within the health sector.
* Effectively builds and develops client relationships.
* Leads and delivers projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accountability for our (Health) client profile.
* Maintain accountability for commercial engagements, including involvement in fee preparation for projects.
* Maintain direct relationships with our key (Health) clients.
* Monitor project health, including scope, programme, and quality.
* Develop new business. Work with the Regional Director/s and other leaders to unlock new opportunities. Attend industry events.
* Operate in the Project Team Leader role for (Health) projects in your region. Use the role to raise your profile and connect with industry.
* Collaborate with the WA Health Sector Team and National Health Director regularly to find solutions to complex problems.
* Assist to build the local Health team based on planned outcomes or an accelerated approach as appropriate.
* Maintain quality relationships with the local core disciplines, asset management leadership, energy & sustainability leadership, and others.
* Maintain quality relationship with the wider national Health Team.
* Influence the wider office in your area of training – i.e. support, coach, or mentor other engineers in career or technical development, with the aim of driving up overall office capability.
* Communicates individual and team needs for resourcing, training and development, effective teamwork and coordinates and leads delivery of requirements in these areas.
* Design, documentation, correspondence, reporting, and consulting tasks associated with the Health Sector engineering services projects undertaken by our office.
* Assessing buildings, both existing and new against the WAHFG, Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards.
* Implementing system designs in accordance with relevant WAHFG and Australian Standards.
* Overseeing documenting system designs in both preparation of technical specifications and technical drawings utilising Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD software packages.
* Building relationships between clients, contractors, and authorities.
* Report and fee writing.
* Attending meetings and site inspections and other construction phase responsibilities.
